Welcome to the
Cardale HARROGATE AND DISTRICT TENNIS LEAGUE

The Harrogate and District Tennis League offers competitive mixed doubles at a wide range of standards in six divisions. The lower divisions provide competition for club players of average standard, while Division 1 attracts players of a very high calibre for regular mixed doubles.

The League has operated successfully for many years and continues to expand and currently has 53 teams from 20 clubs. Although it centres around Harrogate, it ranges south to Wetherby and Almscliffe , and north to Northallerton and Thirsk.

The League is always interested to hear from tennis clubs wishing to join and enter teams for the first time, or those wishing to re-enter. New Clubs and Teams are usually elected at the League AGM in February each year. In 2013, we are pleased to accept Boston Spa into the League and we all wish them well in their quest to progress through the divisions.

The League is sponsored for a 5th and final year in succession by CARDALE ASSET MANAGEMENT, through the efforts of Richard Whiteley. Many of you will remember playing with or against Richard at Civil Service, Low Harrogate, and more recently at Harrogate Racquets. We much appreciate their support, which has placed the League in a secure financial position. To ensure that this continues, the committee are seeking further sponsorship from local business to start in 2014.

This is the official league web site, and its prime function is to keep clubs and their players informed about news and events. In particular, it provides a regular update of results and league tables during the season, which runs from the end of April to mid-August.
