    Dinner Dance and Trophy Presentation 2010: Friday 15 October 2010

  • Will be held on Friday 15 October at the Bridge Inn, Walshford. Clubs are asked to donate raffle prizes.
  • All tournament winners and divisional winners are expected to attend!

    League Tournament 2010: Sunday 6 June to Saturday 12 June

    The League Tournament was held from Sunday 6 June to Saturday 12 June, at Harrogate Racquets Club and Harlow TC, with Oliver Scaife once again the referee.

    Despite poor weather early in the week, the tournament kept to schedule and the weather was perfect for Finals Day. Full results on the Tournament link above.

    Tennis Balls: April 2010

    If sufficient clubs support White Stone, then further support for the League will be forthcoming.

    Janet Harrison will retire at the next AGM. Any person wishing to be nominated should contact Robin Mitchell or Ian Hargreaves.

    • Match format

    The Fixture List specifies a standard format for each match:

    • Format 2-2-1 – Two sets to 6 in the first 2 rounds, one set to 6 in the third round. This is the standard format for matches played on long evenings or where floodlights are available.
    • Format 2-1-1 – Two sets to 6 in the first round, one set to 6 in the second and third rounds. This format to be used at the start and end of the season where floodlights are not available.

    The two team captains can agree to play a match to any format, but the format specified in the Fixture List will apply otherwise. All matches start at 6.30pm, except at Wetherby B (5.00pm). All matches must be played by August 31. Read Rule 25 on the eligibility of players before selecting teams at the start of the season. Please return match result cards IMMEDIATELY after the match, either by post or (preferably) scanned and sent by email to ianhargreaves1@ntlworld.com. Handbooks will be issued at the rate of 8 per team.
